The National Association of Nigeria Students, NANS, Cross River State Joint Axis, Led by her Chairman, Comr. Emmanuel Iwara-Ikoh Michael, yesterday decorated Rev. (Evang.) Ephraim Effiong of Prayer City, as her Patron.
The award of Patron which was presented to the clergyman was as a result of his massive contribution to the student community and the societal sustainable developments.
Reverend Effiong upon receiving the award, charged the student leaders to put God first in all they do, as well as create a positive impact in the society through their offices.

The Cross River born preacher while speaking to the press about the state of the Nation, said that for Nigeria to change for good, it must first have a reformation of character and National conscience, which implies that the character of every citizens of the country must be reformed positively and we must have a good conscience for the preservation of our nation.
He further added that any eligible citizen that does not participate in the forthcoming general election is an enemy of the nation.

The event which was held in Prayer City, Calabar was attended by the various SUG Presidents of the institutions in Cross River State as well as the South-South Zonal Financial Secretary of NANS and the National Ex-Officio 1 of NANS, the President of Akpabuyo Students Association, the NANS State executives and other leaders in the student community.
